Destination Management & the Incentive Industry

Michael is Director of Sales with Moloney & Kelly, one of Ireland’s Leading Destination Management Companies. Handling a diverse range of clients from individual travel to detailed incentive programs and corporate meetings, they get to work with a huge range of hotels, venues and suppliers across Ireland to create fantastic experiences for their clients.

Michael also works as Global Sales Ambassador for Hosts Global, a network of over Destination Management Companies providing services in over 300 locations across the world.

Michael has been very active in the industry over the course of his career through involvement in various industry associations including Incentive Research Foundation (IRF), Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and Society of Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE). Most recently Michael is President Elect for the SITE Ireland Chapter and will serve as President in 2018 & 2019. He established the SITE Ireland Young Leaders Program, during his time as Co Chair of the SITE Global Young Leaders Program. Michael serves on the International Task Force for the IRF. Also with Hosts Global he is the International Chair of their Client Advisory Board.

Academically, Michael holds a Degree in Business and Event Management from Dundalk Institute of Technology (DKIT) and also an Honours Degree in Event, Hospitality & Tourism Management from DKIT.

Outside of work, Michael’s loves the great outdoors. A keen hiker, Michael knows all the best places to hike around Ireland and has completed a number of amazing hikes and mountain climbs across the world. = Michael is also an avid cool, Gin enthusiast and loves to travel the world.
